General Training Reading also has 40 questions, but it needs more correct answers than Academic Reading for the same band. The official IELTS site publishes four points for it. We show those, fill the half bands between them, and do not guess beyond them.

What is official here
The official points are 15 correct for band 4, 23 for band 5, 30 for band 6 and 35 for band 7. The half bands between them are our straight-line estimate and are marked "Approximate".
No official point is published above 35 or below 15. So we show 35–40 as "7.0+" and do not give a band below 15, rather than invent one.
How General Training Reading differs
The texts come from everyday and work settings: notices, advertisements, workplace guides and one longer general-interest text. The questions are marked the same way, one mark each, with no penalty for wrong answers.
